Design For Resilience and Adaptive Capacity (DFRAC) Analysis: DFRAC Analysis is a unique approach for auditing the effectiveness of safety and operations management. Going beyond compliance-based audit approaches, the DFRAC Analysis process seeks to not only identify opportunities for safety improvements, but also seeks to identify opportunities for improvement in the areas of resilience and adaptive capacity. In today's complex, challenging, and competitive environments, compliance with safety regulations is not always enough to achieve desired safety and operational goals, and serious consequences can have significant impacts on an organization's ability to meet stakeholder and customer needs. The DFRAC Analysis process is designed to identify leading indicators of safety, resilience, the ability of organizations to adapt to changing conditions, and the ability to maintain safe and effective operations under conditions of uncertainty. Covering 26 audit sections, our DFRAC Analysis system has been designed to cover many critical areas, including leadership and employee risk perspective, resource planning, work system design, operational drift/normalized deviance, communications, and many other key areas. Each audit area is also examined from a safety perspective. Where applicable, many of the results from the DFRAC Analysis are weighted against industry best practices, depending on the customer organization's sector. These standards may include the ANSI/AIHA Z10 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard, MIL-STD 882E Department of Defense Standard Practice for System Safety, and various military Operational Risk Management directives. A gap analysis is performed to determine how certain aspects of the organization's programs compare to these standards or orders, and how the organization's operations and safety management may affect resilience and adaptive capacity. There are two ways for customers to conduct a DFRAC Analysis. Customers may hire V-Speed, LLC for an on-site analysis or they may choose to conduct a Self-Guided DFRAC Analysis through a third-party hosted audit tool. V-Speed, LLC may be hired on a retainer basis to assist with the Self-Guided approach. With both approaches customers will still gain the benefit of having V-Speed, LLC review the audit results and recommend potential mitigation strategies.

There is often an "us and them" mentality between line operators and safety staff. With TL&RM for Safety Professionals and Safety Engineers we help to bridge this gap and one of our goals is to make the safety professional or safety engineer an integral part of operational teams. Safety Information Systems: As an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) using a major Platform-as-a-Service provider V-Speed, LLC has developed several cloud-based applications which are designed to help organizations improve hazard reporting and tracking, near-hit reporting and tracking, Lessons-Learned, and job planning. We have targeted these applications to small and medium-sized organizations which do not have a full-time IT staff and have limited software architecture and IT budgets. Since these applications are designed in the cloud they may be installed quickly and are usable on multiple platforms, including PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
