Happy Friday Everyone. I had a recent discussion with some colleagues about ways to engage two distinct generations of employees to help them work together. I have found that rich storytelling is a way to involve employees at many levels. The "been there, done that" and "this happened to me" types of stories can be a very powerful tool for engaging audiences and can be an interesting way to help younger employees learn from veteran employees who have been through multiple cycles of organizational change. Fostering an open and collaborative environment should be one of the roles of safety leaders, and safety leadership should help develop the processes to build this storytelling culture.
